Subliminal Tasks is happy to current MUCHO, by Mexican-American visible artist and manner designer Sofia Enriquez. The exhibition showcases the breadth of Enriquez’s observe which include high-quality art, sculpture, bespoke hand-made installations, and clothes. In partnership with Obey Apparel and in conjunction with the opening of the exhibition, the artist will launch a new limited T-shirt and a sequence of find hand-painted objects from the Obey Outfits line, exhibited in a pop-up MUCHO X OBEY store within the exhibition.
Enriquez’s perform investigates her intercultural id via the use of vibrant distinctive symbolism, making an automobile- biographical legend that weaves themes of Mexican-catholic iconography, indigenous homage, Spanglish textual content, modern day pop-society references, and feminine energy.
